Origin Scout FAQ
We’re still preparing for launch. These answers describe the current plan and may be updated.
What is Origin Scout?
Origin Scout is a prelaunch marketplace being built to help people discover products from emerging companies and independent creators.
Can I buy products now?
No. The catalogue and checkout are not open yet, and no real products are currently listed.
How will products be selected?
Applicants may be reviewed for seller identity, listing completeness, relevance, and supporting information. Criteria may evolve before launch. Review is not certification or endorsement.
Does Origin Scout test every product?
No. Unless a listing expressly says otherwise, Origin Scout does not manufacture or independently test products. Sellers remain responsible for product quality, safety, legality, and claims.
How will AI discovery work?
The planned discovery tool will use a shopper’s description to surface relevant approved listings. It is a navigation aid, not professional advice or a guarantee that a product is suitable.
How do I list a company or product?
Visit the For Sellers page to register your interest. Applying does not guarantee approval, placement, promotion, or sales.
What happens when I join the waitlist?
We will use the details you submit to send launch-related updates and, where you consent, marketing messages. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Will buyers have purchase protection?
We are developing buyer safeguards and dispute processes. The current purchase-protection page is a draft and is not yet an active programme.
